Population growth and urbanization have significantly increased plastic and agricultural waste, generating over 350 million metric tons of plastic and one billion tons of agricultural waste annually. This waste poses risks to human health and the environment, making safe disposal and recycling crucial for a green economy. In response, the development of rice husk reinforced recycled polypropylene (RH/rPP) composite offers a sustainable alternative for bathroom doors. This initiative supports multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting responsible consumption and production (SDG 12) and climate action (SDG 13) through the use of renewable materials, reducing the consumption of primary resources, and lowering carbon emissions associated with manufacturing and transportation. Additionally, it enhances life on land (SDG 15) by utilizing a rapidly renewable resource that fosters biodiversity. Overall, this project exemplifies a holistic approach to sustainability, addressing environmental, economic, and social dimensions for a more sustainable future.
