Jegathesan A/l Shanker SMK GEMAS
The Student Personality System (SSDM) is a system implemented by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) to record both disciplinary actions and good deeds carried out by students. One issue that arises is that students are unaware whether teachers have recorded the good deeds they perform, and teachers too are unable to determine if a student has carried out good deeds at school. Therefore, a system called I-Baik QR was developed to help both teachers and students identify and track the good deeds performed in school. This system uses a QR Code method, where all students at SMK Gemas are given a QR code in the form of a card. Each time a student performs a good deed, the teacher can record it by scanning the student’s QR code, and the data will be displayed on a dedicated dashboard. The QR codes and dashboard are built using Google-based tools — Google Forms and Looker Studio. The use of this system makes it easier for teachers and students to access the available data. With the implementation of this system, the number of students performing good deeds has increased, and the number of good deeds recorded by teachers in SSDM has gone up. This indicates that the system has had a positive impact and has simplified a task that was previously seen as difficult. It is hoped that the continued use of this system will keep bringing positive impact to the entire SMK Gemas community.
