Many ESL learners struggle with reading comprehension, especially in identifying main ideas and making inferences. Traditional methods often lack interactivity, resulting in low engagement and limited strategy development. This study examines the use of the Main Mystery: Reading Between the Lines board game to create more interactive, student-centered reading lessons. Designed to enhance reading skills in a fun, collaborative way, the game’s impact was evaluated through a Likert-scale questionnaire. Results showed that students found the game enjoyable, motivating, and helpful in building confidence and improving their ability to identify main ideas and make inferences in reading tasks.
