In this study, leaves of the plant Kyllinga nemoralis also better known as ‘Pokok Helikopter’ was investigated. Kyllinga nemoralis is a perennial herb, that has been used traditionally as medicine to treat many diseases and disorders. The leaves of the plant were previously used as antivenom, relief of malarial chills, pruritus of the skin, thirst attributable to fever and diabetes. Although it has been used for decades, its medicinal properties have not been scientifically evident. Hence, its mechanism of action remains unclear.
