The product that our research team will present is a newly-developed, health-promoting kelulut honey powder that is native to the Sarawak rainforest.  At the moment, there is no honey powder produced from Sarawak’s kelulut honey available on the market. Honeybee honey is used in the products that are currently on the market.  Nutritionally, EZ-MiX Kelulut Powder can be regarded as a superior product with a relatively higher level of carbohydrates and energy compared to raw kelulut honey. In a sensory evaluation test, panellists preferred the EZ-MiX Kelulut Powder drink as well as the pure kelulut honey. Most importantly, the product stability of EZ-MiX Kelulut Powder can be characterised by its significantly lower moisture content and lower water activity, hence contributing to the extended shelf life of the product.
