This project simulates the manufacturing process for the Lathe Assembly Project at Kolej Vokasional Kuching’s Industrial Machining Program. It acts as both a learning tool and assessment method, with students producing two parts using machining techniques like sawing, turning, threading, and grinding. A simulation model, built in Arena Simulation Software, streamlines workflow, estimates production time, and improves efficiency. Developed through phases like problem definition, data collection, and verification, the model uses modules such as “Create,” “Process,” and “Decide.” Test runs confirm the model’s reliability, showing its value in improving resource use and providing realistic training in machining operations.
