Inadequate mathematical understanding and procedural fluency persist as significant obstacles for many learners, often necessitating more than just final answers to grasp the underlying problem-solving process. This project addresses this need by developing an innovative 'KRATOS AI,' a web-based educational platform designed to assist students by providing comprehensive, step-by-step explanations for a wide range of advanced mathematical problems. The application employs sophisticated prompt engineering techniques to generate clear, pedagogically sound explanations alongside solutions. The platform integrates interactive graphing capabilities to facilitate visualization of functions and equations, as well as suggesting links to relevant external learning resources, thereby extending learning beyond the immediate problem. A functional prototype has been developed, demonstrating the core problem-solving, explanation, graphing, and resource-linking capabilities. This project showcases the potential of AI as a powerful learning aid, offering a user-centric tool designed to support mathematical understanding and enhance problem-solving skills across various educational contexts.
