Perovskite solar cells are gaining attention as a promising alternative to traditional silicon-based photovoltaics. These cells offer higher efficiency, lower production costs, and simpler manufacturing processes. A study fabricated a solution-processed perovskite solar cell, achieving an open-circuit voltage of 1.49V and a short-circuit current density of 5.15 mA/cm², with a maximum power conversion efficiency of 18.67%. This makes them ideal for indoor use, supporting decentralized energy generation and reducing global reliance on fossil fuels.
