Defence and Security (DS) sector is a sector that ensures that the environment, premise, and the area are free from any hazards. These hazards will cause inconvenience to people and may lead to life threatening situation, such as, heavy injury and bad environmental odour. Hence, DS sector has solved this issue by conducting regular housekeeping. Housekeeping is an activity where the person in charge patrols the area and make sure there are no hazards. In order to ensure the personnels are competent, they need to be trained theoretically and practically. Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centres that are specialized in this area, are actively enrolling students to teach them the importance of housekeeping and its basic operation. However, some students may not be able to understand if the class is purely theoretical in nature. Hence, we propose an innovative way of learning and teaching by using SCRATCH. This platform acts as an interactive simulator to simulate a simple housekeeping situation where the main objective is to remove all the hazards in the area to make sure the people are safe and comfortable. Students will be able to interact with the program by using readily available computer peripherals, such as, mouse and keyboard. This platform is very user friendly and highly adaptable which allows the students to easily customize the program to make it more fun. Hence, they will not get bored when learning while be able to understand the essence of the lesson.
