This project, “The Magic of Purple Cabbage,” helps students understand how colour changes can reveal important information about substances in our daily life. Using purple cabbage as a natural indicator, the student explored how different household items react based on their acidity, alkalinity or neutrality. Through hands-on investigation, the student tested various materials and observed colour changes using their senses. Out of 27 tested items, 8 were selected for showing clear and significant colour differences. The experiment also included measuring pH levels using a digital pH meter. This project not only builds scientific understanding but also teaches safety awareness, helping students identify which substances may be harmful to touch. With guidance from parents, the student enjoyed exploring, recording results, and presenting findings creatively through charts and visuals.
