The Solar Hybrid System Trainer 2.0 (SHST2.0) is an innovative teaching aid developed at TVETMARA Johor Bahru to enhance practical learning in renewable energy technologies. Integrating solar photovoltaic panels, wind turbines, charge controllers, inverters, and battery storage, the trainer bridges theoretical knowledge with hands-on application, fostering problemsolving and critical thinking among students. The system employs a blended learning approach through QR codes linking to manuals, videos, and infographics, while structured practical sessions allow learners to perform wiring, schematic interpretation, and system optimization. Evaluation through lecturer and student surveys demonstrated that SHST2.0 is user-friendly, effective for practical work, and highly recommended for TVET institutions. Comparative studies between SHST 1.0 and SHST 2.0 revealed significant improvements in student comprehension and comfort during practical exercises. Designed with a durable alloy casing, SHST2.0 aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) by promoting renewable energy awareness and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. In conclusion, SHST2.0 is a scalable, sustainable, and commercially viable educational tool with strong potential for adoption across TVET institutions,
vocational schools, and universities, contributing to the advancement of renewable energy education and innovation.
