Understanding Arabic terminology remains a challenge for many learners, particularly those with limited prior exposure to the language. This issue is especially evident in higher education, where students are expected to comprehend Arabic lexical items, expressions, and subject-related terms within a limited period. To address this challenge, the comic series Kaifa Haluka (KH) was developed as an innovative instructional medium to support students’ understanding of Arabic terminology, particularly among learners at UiTM Kelantan. KH integrates visual narration, contextualised videos of Arabic dialogues, vocabulary support, QR codes, and supplementary video materials. These features facilitate terminology comprehension through contextual learning and meaningful language exposure. Compared to conventional text-based materials, comics offer a more engaging and accessible platform for reinforcing Arabic terms and expressions. The development of KH reflects ongoing efforts to produce pedagogically relevant and technology-enhanced Arabic learning materials. Existing evidence and learner feedback suggest that KH has the potential to improve students’ comprehension of Arabic terminology and enrich their language learning experience. This study highlights the pedagogical value of comics as an alternative resource for strengthening Arabic terminology acquisition in higher education.
