Conventional onboarding processes for new employees often rely on the buddy system, requiring existing staff to guide and train newcomers. This approach can disrupt the workflow of experienced employees and may lead to inconsistent delivery of information. To address this issue, HaloBegin was developed as a digital onboarding innovation designed to streamline the orientation process. Through a single QR code, new employees can access essential resources including job scope, task guidelines, and important HR-related documents within a centralized platform. The system also incorporates Virtual Reality (VR) videos to introduce key locations within the office building such as the pantry, meeting rooms, and various departments. Additionally, each video is followed by a short quiz to evaluate the employee’s understanding of the provided information, ensuring effective learning and preparation for their roles.
