TAMARIND SEED MASK POWDER

Abstract: This study is one of the efforts to produce a Tamarind Seed–Based masker Powder. The production of masker powder based on tamarind seeds aims to develop a natural masker product that is capable of helping to overcome uneven skin tone problems as well as removing dead skin cells. The main objectives of this study are to identify the level of effectiveness of the tamarind seed–based masker powder on users who experience uneven skin tone problems and to identify the level of user acceptance of the product. Tamarind seeds contain antioxidants, natural organic acids, fiber, as well as minerals such as magnesium and potassium that are beneficial for skin health and beauty. Therefore, tamarind seeds have high potential to be used as the main ingredient in the production of skin masker products. The findings of the study on the tamarind seed–based masker powder show that in terms of texture, color, and aroma or fragrance, the level of user acceptance is positive, namely texture (95%), color (93%), and aroma or fragrance (93%). Meanwhile, for the aspect of product effectiveness, the study results also show positive percentage values, namely product effectiveness (93%), improvement in skin color to appear brighter (100%), skin surface becoming softer and fresher (100%), and skin tone becoming more even (100%). Overall, the findings of the study indicate that the majority of respondents accept the tamarind seed–based masker powder in terms of texture, color, and aroma. In conclusion, tamarind seeds have the potential to be used in the production of masker powder products as an alternative natural skin care product.
