ABSTRACT

The study of anatomy is often perceived as challenging and less engaging due to its reliance on complex scientific terminology. To address this issue, this innovation project introduces BodyPop Card, a snap-concept card game incorporating human anatomy content. A gamification approach is employed to enhance students’ interest, active engagement, and memory retention. BodyPop Card is designed with appealing visual elements, concise factual information, and color-coded classifications according to body systems, making it more accessible and comprehensible for learners. Through this game-based approach, the learning environment becomes more interactive, enjoyable (Tengku Wook et al., 2021), and impactful in facilitating students’ retention of anatomical knowledge. A study involving 20 students demonstrated a significant improvement in scores before and after the implementation of the game. Therefore, this innovation has strong potential as an effective teaching aid, ultimately contributing to improved student achievement in the health sciences field.
