The Saputra Arena innovation is a creative, high-impact approach to fostering active and engaging classroom experiences. Drawing inspiration from the traditional foosball concept, the game is modernised with magnetic control mechanisms and integrated question-and-answer activities. It combines physical movement with cognitive engagement, requiring players to manoeuvre a ball using magnets beneath the arena surface and answer a question each time a goal is scored. Grounded in constructivist and kinesthetic learning theories, this method enables students to construct knowledge through hands-on experience and active participation.
The innovation not only boosts students’ motivation and participation but also provides teachers with a cost-effective, versatile, and interactive revision tool. Classroom trials in groups such as 2 Omega and 2 Theta demonstrated measurable improvements in student confidence, engagement, and mastery of content. Teachers observed that lessons became naturally more energetic and well-controlled. The scalability of Saputra Arena allows for subject-specific adaptations, such as Science Arena or History Arena, broadening its application in diverse educational contexts.
