WeldGuard is an innovative welding inspection system developed with Powertechnic Handling Equipment (M) Sdn. Bhd. to enhance sustainable infrastructure. This automated solution supports UN Sustainable Development Goals by ensuring quality, resilient structures, and optimized resource efficiency. Powered by YOLOv8 real-time object detection, WeldGuard inspects welding outcomes using a Raspberry Pi with an integrated camera for immediate defect classification. The Flask web dashboard displays real-time results and visualizes defect patterns, while cloud storage archives images and detection results for audit and performance tracking. Validated by industrial feedback, WeldGuard reduces errors, bottlenecks, and reliance on manual labor, elevating production standards and compliance.
