Traditional, non-interactive teaching approaches in history classes frequently struggle to interest students. An engaging and entertaining educational game called "MAT KILAU SIDE-SCROLLER GAME" makes studying history more engaging. In this side-scrolling role-playing game, which was created using Unity and pixel-based graphics, players are introduced to the renowned Malaysian warrior Mat Kilau. The project's systematic development, which adheres to the ADDIE principle, guarantees excellent game mechanics and educational alignment. Students' enhanced participation and understanding of historical events has been shown in preliminary testing. Through commercialization, the game will be made accessible, interesting, and marketable for use in school curricula, general distribution, and possible extension into other historical storylines.
