Thriftlight Stand is a sustainable innovation inspired by the 3R principles — Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle — addressing the growing problem of electronic waste in Malaysia. As living standards rise, more electrical products are used and discarded, often in landfills near rivers, causing toxic chemicals and heavy metals to contaminate soil and groundwater. This eco-friendly lamp stand is made from the base and body of a discarded fan, a repurposed downlight frame, bottle caps, a recycled switch, and a reused LED bulb. It is cost-efficient, aesthetically appealing, ergonomically designed, and holds strong commercial potential while promoting environmental responsibility.
