Smart AttendX: Smart Academic Enforcement Platform is a proposed innovation designed to enhance the management of student attendance in educational institutions. Currently, medical certificates and absence letters are commonly submitted manually through email or messaging platforms, resulting in disorganized records and challenges in monitoring attendance effectively. Smart AttendX is introduced as an additional module that can be integrated with existing Learning Management Systems to support a more structured and automated attendance monitoring process. Through this platform, students who are absent will receive notifications prompting them to upload supporting documents within a specified timeframe determined by the institution. The system is capable of automatically calculating absence percentages and triggering progressive enforcement actions such as Warning Letter 1, Warning Letter 2, and BAR status. This enables institutions to monitor attendance more efficiently, ensure compliance with academic policies, and identify at-risk students at an earlier stage.
