Global health statistics show that more than 430 million people require rehabilitation for hearing loss, highlighting the urgent need for innovative assistive communication technologies. However, over 70 million Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals still face significant communication barriers in classrooms, workplaces, healthcare settings, and public services. Although sign language is widely used within Deaf communities, gaps remain due to limited interpreters, regional variations, and inadequate accessible technologies.
