This study explores the application of the Newton Forward Divided Difference Interpolation method to estimate travel distances and analyze its convergence. Using data collected from the MRT Kajang Line, the research develops a polynomial distance function based on time intervals. By progressively increasing the number of data points, the study demonstrates that the relative error in distance estimation decreases, validating the method's accuracy and reliability. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) is also developed using MATLAB to automate convergence analysis, making the process more efficient and user-friendly. This project aims to enhance travel forecasting accuracy, improve commuter satisfaction, and optimize transit planning. The findings contribute to the field of numerical analysis and have practical implications for transportation systems and similar applications.
