Conventional access control methods such as cards and keys are often inefficient, inconvenient and vulnerable to security threats like spoofing. This paper presents KIBot, an interactive and contactless facial recognition system designed for modern environments. The system integrates computer vision, artificial intelligence and IoT technologies to securely verify identity while also extracting demographic and emotional insights. A Design of Experiments (DOE) approach is applied to optimize performance under varying hardware configurations and lighting conditions. Results indicate improved accuracy, security and user experience. Overall, KIBot offers a scalable, efficient and intelligent solution for next-generation access control systems.
