This innovation showcases Bookify, an innovative digital classroom booking system developed to enhance the management of specialised teaching spaces through the effective use of technology. Bookify provides a lightweight and user-friendly interface that enables lecturers to view real-time availability, make reservations, and manage bookings through a centralised system. The integration of automated availability checks ensures accurate scheduling and prevents overlapping reservations, directly contributing to improved operational efficiency. A design-based development approach was employed, with Bookify implemented in an authentic institutional context. The system’s effectiveness was examined through observation of actual usage and informal feedback from users. The implementation results demonstrate that Bookify reduced reliance on manual coordination, improved transparency in facility usage, and streamlined booking management with minimal technical complexity. Overall, this innovation highlights the potential of low-code digital technologies in supporting institutional operations. Bookify demonstrates that practical, easily deployable digital solutions can significantly improve operational efficiency in higher education settings, particularly in managing shared and high-demand teaching facilities, without requiring complex system development or extensive technical resources.
