This research study aims to develop a toner using Chymopapain extract from papaya fruit skin and silk fibers to inhibit C. acnes bacteria growth, reduce pore clogging, inflammation, and increase moisture. The new toner, combining Chymopapain extract and Sericin-rich mulberry water, showed satisfactory results in inhibiting C. acnes bacteria growth and reducing inflammation, with an average clear zone diameter of 1.61 mm.
