In contemporary networking systems, security plays a pivotal role, particularly with the growing dependence on virtual private networks (VPNs) to ensure secure data transmission. This project addresses the need for a thorough assessment of the security features inherent in VPNs. The primary objective is to analyse and maximize the utilization of the existing network infrastructure by comparing two tunnels L2TP/IPsec and GRE over IPsec in the site-to-site connection. This strategic approach not only cost-effective on the current network infrastructure without need to invest in additional antennas and rental space but also presents a best VPN tunnel for client to secure their point-to-point connection. The implementation maintains the security standards for the Financial Services Industry (FSI) recommended by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), providing a robust and economically viable solution for secure data transmission within network
