The increasing global temperature has been predominant in endangering the world; as it gradually destroys the environment, it is jeopardizing earth as a habitable home for us humans. One of the main causes of this phenomenon is through energy consumption, specifically electricity. While alternative options that reduce greenhouse gasses are available, the combustion of fossil fuels and natural gasses remains as the main sources of electricity. As shown in the data from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), electricity production was a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions in 2021, 7% of which is caused by cooling (specifically air conditioning). Although there are traditional eco-coolers that reduce temperature by accelerating the wind’s speed, those aren’t effective enough to cool the temperature down. Therefore, our innovation aims to reduce temperatures by improving the previously said method through increasing its relative humidity through a water-cooling pad to further cool the initial temperature.
