Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a development that maintain the improvement of people's economic welfare in a sustainable manner. One of the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is decent work and economic growth. One of the factors of economic decline in Indonesia is the disaster of traditional market fires, especially in 2023 with a loss of 100 billion. Despite the tragedy of traditional market fires that resulted in a decline of economic value, Indonesia has potency to improve the economy through food packaging. One type of the food packaging that is often used in Indonesia is food packaging paper. One of an alternative raw materials to make food packaging paper is cassava peel. Cassava peels contains 57% cellulose, making it suitable for use as raw material to make food packaging paper. The research method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The focus of this research is the manufacture of food packaging paper from cassava peels as an alternative solution to damage to food products supporting the economy in traditional markets due to fire. Experiments were conducted to determine the effectiveness of the product and literature studies were conducted to analyze the effect of cassava peel content on fire. The data analysis technique used was descriptive quantitative. Indicators of product effectiveness: 1) Meet the anti-fire test; 2) Water absorption test; and 3) Paper comparison test (comparing cassava peel paper with commercial paper); 4) pH test. Based on the results FINAPA is an environmentally friendly food packaging paper that is resistant to fire. Keywords: Fire, Traditional Market, Packaging Paper, Cassava Peel.
