StageAI is an AI-powered smart event management system developed by the Tun Abang Haji Openg Digital Centre (TAHODC) at UNIMAS to automate complex event workflows. By integrating AI Voice, facial recognition, and IoT sensors, the platform eliminates manual bottlenecks, reducing name audio preparation from one month to under one hour and cutting on-stage staffing from 15 to 4 personnel. The system ensures High Availability and a paperless environment while achieving identity verification in less than five seconds. Following successful implementations at UNIMAS convocations and awards ceremonies, StageAI’s scalable architecture is being explored for adoption by over six other Malaysian public universities.
