The research endeavours to develop an eco-friendly insecticide by utilizing organic materials. This research product is tested on various insects and has proven to be effective. The main materials used in the project are Cymbopogan Citratus, or commonly known as lemongrass, and Pyrethroids commonly found in Chrysanthemum flower. This product was designed to kill insects without damaging our health and polluting the environment. This objective of this project is to investigate the effect of Cymbopogon Citratus as anti-insecta and to investigate the effect on Pyrethroids as additional substance in product. The process of making this product is by first, blending chrysanthemum, lemongrass, shallots, ginger, garlic, lemon, rosemary essence and castor oil, and then by filtering out the solution. The solution was then experimented on various insects to test its effect and how long it takes to kill the insects tested on. Based on the results the solution shown that it did not only kill but excel in repelling insects by up to 40% compared to other insecticide. Conclusively, the insecticide offers various benefits, including being cost-effective compared to other insecticide currently on the market. Thus, the PCC+ Repellent will contribute greatly to developing safer and more environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional insecticides. Lastly, we believe our product could mark the end of dangerous chemicals and worsening pollution caused by insecticide.
