The objective of the 'Follow The Dot' module is to help students master the skills of writing Tamil letters. The 247 letters in the Tamil language have various forms that are both easy as well as difficult for Tamil students to write. Thus, students take a long time to master the skill of writing Tamil letters. Writing the letter form correctly is very important so that the student's writing is legible to read and accurately conveys the meaning to be expressed. The problem of writing Tamil letters is very critical among preschool students and 1st year students in Tamil National Type Schools as well. The books available in the market do not show any change in the teaching of writing skills in the Tamil language. The existing books contain letters in the form of dots so that students can write on the dots. But Tamil letters are written with left-to-right up and down movements. So the existing books do not help overcome this problem. Therefore, this innovation was developed to help students master the skill of writing Tamil letters efficiently. The innovation is developed based on the Monitor Theory uses an animation video technique where students can follow the dots that move over the letters of the Tamil language. A pilot test was conducted among 20 students who were chosen as a study sample to see the effectiveness of this module before it was widely distributed. This module has been registered under the Myipo Intellectual Property Act (CRYL2023PO2640) and has obtained an ISBN (978-967-2863-50-2).
