Benzene and its derivatives are one of the most difficult topics for students to understand in organic chemistry. This topic requires students to meaningfully connect the previous reactions, type of reactions, and knowing the correct reagent and conditions for the reaction to occur. Particularly, students tend to get overwhelmed and confused with benzene mechanism. Thus, CHEMI-PAZ acts as a life saver in mitigating this issue. CHEMI-PAZ is a learning app that consist of guiding notes, short videos, and mini games to assess learning. With our newly integrated augmented reality experience on benzene mechanism, a meaningful learning experience was provided with an improved engagement among learners. CHEMI-PAZ has shown significant improvement in the students' performance in benzene related concept and its mechanism. Based on user’s feedback, the CHEMI-PAZ has created positive perception in learning organic chemistry. CHEMI-PAZ undoubtedly provides a new horizon of learning organic concept and chemical reaction on the topic of benzene, shifting from conventional ways of pen and paper.
