This research examines the effectiveness of My QR Pal, an innovative educational tool for improving pupils' speaking ability. The 12 weeks study involved 127 pupils of secondary school students in a classroom setting and used a mixed-methods approach. By utilizing personalized QR codes, pupils could practice speaking skills at their own pace and in various settings. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in speaking proficiency and fluency after using the tool. Pupils reported increased practice opportunities, enhanced confidence, and convenience. The findings highlight the potential of My QR Pal as an engaging pedagogical tool that complements classroom instruction and fosters language proficiency. Several past studies have shown that there is a positive correlation between increased confidence and improved speaking abilities if frequent practices are intricate (Woodrow. L, 2006). This research contributes practical insights into leveraging technology for effective speaking practice and supporting language learning.
